At M-P Infrastructure, our target to become a net-zero emissions energy business is at the heart of our strategy and will hopefully transform our operations and energy services. We believe this target aligns with the more ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement, to limit the rise in the global average temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
As we work towards net zero, we will cut down emissions from our operations and energy services while becoming an increasingly successful organization. Our energy transition plans cover all our business focus: Renewables & Energy Solutions,Technology and sustainable construction.
In the near future, we plan to setout pathways to net zero for two sectors of deep interest – transport and industry. Essentially, we want to lead in the decarbonization of transport and industry using the strength of our brand, deep customer relationships and continental foot print. In the immediate future, we aim to commence our public charging network for electric vehicles, retrofit of fossil powered vehicles and transition of industries away from heavy reliance on diesel generating sets to cleaner sources. As the energy transition evolution progresses, we expect to offer increasingly more low-carbon products and solutions to the market while aggressively aligning with SDG goals 7 and 13.
